JAMMU, July 29: Accusing the Dharmarth Trust management of backtracking on the agreement signed between them on April 22, 2021, Dharmarth Trust Employees Association has threatened to resume the agitation.
“The Trust administration in violation of the agreement, has not revoked the repressive orders passed during the agitation and salary of some of the employees is still stopped for the more than six months,” said Rajinder Shastri, senior leader of the Association while addressing a press conference, here today.
He alleged that the Dharmarth Trust administration has started termination of regular employees without explaining any reasons whereas as per the agreement, it was categorically admitted by the management that all such employees who are working from the last more than seven years will be regularised and salary of agitation period will also be released. However, he added, pick and choose is being adopted and salary of some employees has been withheld.
“Moreover, as per the agreement, 20 percent hike was to be given in the basic pay but the Trust administration issued separate letter after one month and converted it into Dearness Allowance,” said Vivek Badral, President of the Association who also alleged that and in the absence of any proper service rules, low paid employees are being transferred to Kashmir Valley and far flung areas without any post at new places.
That Association claimed that all these issues of miss- governess were brought in to the notice of Chairman Trustee and other Trustees, Council members, Advisory Committee but there was no positive response.
The Association once again appealed to Chairman Trustee Dr Karan Singh to ensure improving condition of temples and save the properties of Trust instead of choking the voice of employees who are raising the issue of alleged bungling in the Dharmarth Trust properties.
“If the harassments and exploitations of poor employees is not stopped and illegal order passed by the Trust are not revoked, the Association will resume agitation and the Trust administration will be responsible for all the consequences,” warned the General Secretary Sunit Sharma.
Subash Chander and Sanjeev Sharma also addressed the press conference.
