JAMMU, July 5: Peer Mitha Police arrested a drug peddler along with cannabis.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Peer Mitha laid a naka at Shaheedi Chowk and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CP-7854.
During checking, police team recovered 35 grams cannabis from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Rohit Sotra, son of Shami Sotra, a resident of Christian Colony District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 42/2021 under Section 42/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Peer Mitha Inspector Ajaz Haider made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu.
It is pertinent to mention here that, team from Peer Mitha Police Station yesterday also arrested two drug peddlers along with 7 grams of heroin.
