JAMMU, June 3: Miran Sahib and Chinore Police arrested two persons including a habitual drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Mirza Sultan under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura apprehended a habitual drug peddler along with 18 grams of heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Dheeraj Kumar Sharma, son of Dev Raj, a resident of Indra Nagar District Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused is a habitual drug peddler and was involved in two cases registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
A fresh case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Chinore led by SI Avtar Krishan Choudhary and assisted by ASI Satish Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK02CQ-9104.
During checking, police team recovered 2.5 grams heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Sahil Jamwal, son of Balbir Singh, a resident of Nardani area of Bantalab District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 152/2021 under Section 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
