JMC Councillor inaugurates lane-drain work

JAMMU, June 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Pritam Singh here today inaugurated lane and drain work at Sector-B of Sanik Colony in Ward 55.
A handout stated that the work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 5.50 lakh and the drains of the area were in dilapidated condition since long.
Speaking on the occasion the JMC Councillor appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation within Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and refrain from throwing debris, garbage, filth etc in drains and lanes.
Pritam Singh asked the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Locals of the area including Col. Parkash Singh, Govind Mehta, Shalinder Singh Jamwal, Safaya, Manish Gupta, Simran Singh, Parkash Singh and other were also present on the occasion.
