SRINAGAR, June 3: Police in Sopore today said to have arrested two burglars and recovered stolen property from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that a police party from Police Station, Tarzoo headed by SHO arrested two burglars during patrolling at New Lite Colony, Sopore and recovered stolen property from their possession.
“They have been identified as Aqib Ahmad Najar, son of Abdul Qayoom Najar and Qazi Tawkeer son of Qazi Irshad, both residents of Chankhan Sopore,” police said.
Those arrested have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody. “A 3-wheeler bearing registration number JK05H-9755, used in the commission of the crime has also been seized,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 58/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.
