Kidnapped girl rescued, accused arrested

JAMMU, May 24: Janipur Police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on May 20 this year, a written complaint was lodged by lady with Police Station Janipur stating that her daughter had gone missing since May 15, 2021 and she doubted that persons namely Lallu and Lakshaman, son of Jeevan Sarthi and their mother Indra Sarthi of Chattisgarh, at present near Ram Leela Morh Janipur had kidnapped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 64/2021 under Sections 366 and 109 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by PSI Rashid Ali was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
The team connected various leads and after hectic efforts and with the support of technical assistance of the native police of the concerned areas, finally rescued kidnapped girl and arrested the abductor identified as Lallu, son of Jeevan Sarthi of Chattisgarh.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
