POONCH, May 14: A young nomad was badly injured in bear attack at Sawjian area of Mandi, here today.
The victim, identified as Safeer Ahmed (21), son of Farid Ahmed, resident of Kalakote, at present Dhoke Satharban, was grazing his goats and sheep in forest area when a bear suddenly appeared and attacked him.
The youth was critically injured in the attack.
With the help of 40 -RR Armymen, deployed in the area, the victim was provided first aid and then shifted to PHC Sawjian for further treatment.
