JAMMU, Apr 1: Around 50 devotees were injured when the overloaded mini-bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge at Majama area of tehsil Khour, here today.

As per police sources, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02X-2001 was on its way to Majama from Balli, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into gorge, resulting into injuries to around 50 devotees. The injured devotees were going to pay obeisance at their Devasthan at Majama, when the accident took place.
After getting information, police team led by SHO Inspector Balvinder Singh rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured persons were shifted to SDH Akhnoor, from where around 15 persons were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialised treatment.
The injured devotees were identified as Dev Raj, Varun Sharma, Dheeraj, Chanchlo Devi, Sharda Devi, Guddi Devi, Rattan Lal, Shashi Devi, Jaipal, Mohan Lal, Sushma Devi, wife of Dev Raj, Sushma Devi, wife of Kuldeep Raj, Tarsem Lal, Asha Devi, Rohit, Abhishek Sharma, Suman Devi, Tarsem Lal, son of late Raji Ram, Sunil, Anil Kumar, Krishan Lal, Sita Ram, Vaishno Devi, Arti Sharma, Vidya Devi, Kamlesh Devi, Ram Paul, Shubam Sharma, Monika Sharma, Sunita Devi, Nittu Sharma, Sunakshi Devi, Sunali Sharma, Garibu Ram, Toshi Devi, Kablu Ram, Bullu Devi, Satpal, Sharda Devi, Rajat Sharma, Natish Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Anchal Sharma, Chinta Devi, Gopal Dass, Rahul Sharma, Joginder Pal, Kartik Sharma and Divyansh Sharma.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Khour and investigation started.
