DODA, Mar 29: A woman was killed, while her husband was injured when the Wagon-R car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into river Chenab at Gharsoo area. In the incident, a man also went missing.
As per reports, a Wagon-R car bearing registration number DL9CP-9813 was on its way from Jammu to Panshai, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into river Chenab at Gharsoo area.
In the incident, a lady identified as Bakela Devi of Panshai District Doda was killed, while her husband namely Lekh Raj got injured and was shifted to GMC Doda for treatment. One more person, who was travelling in the car, went missing and rescue operation was launched to trace him.
However, rescue operation is going on to trace the missing person.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
