Crime against women

Sir,
It is highly disheartening, shameful and disgusting that no day goes unmarked when there is no case of molestation, physical harrassment, rape and gang rape in the country. Glorious traditions of culture get maligned when the fair-sex is tortured in its own street and town. Where have those golden days gone, when a young woman laden with ornaments could travel alone unfeared of getting looted or dishonoured. All endeavours so far to shorten the graph of such crimes on women haven’t yielded much fruits. Stern laws and even the educational system seems miserably failed in this direction. The cultural heritage of which we were very proud of also seems lost.
Humanity, the mother of all goodness and civilization, is rarely being seen in the existing scenario in the society. The law enforcing authorities and the mothers who give birth to such elements are equally accountable for such heinous crimes. Materialism and corruption are two major obstacles to control such evils. The last but not the least option left to check this evil is sound educational system based on moral and social values which enable a man to be a good human being – a scientist, doctor and a big businessman. Stature of a man is raised by his good deeds and not by a heap of wealth. Where morality dies, nothing survives.
