JKTJAC deputation meets DSEJ, highlights issues

JAMMU, Feb 5: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) today met Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Anuradha Gupta in her office chamber and highlighted the burning issues of teachers.
While interacting with the Director, UT president of JKTJAC Vinod Sharma demanded formation of transfer policy in for teachers appointed under ReT scheme as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 20 years. He also stressed for inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits as same was given vide Government Order Number 469 Dated 25-06-2014.
Sharma demanded removal of pay anomaly of teachers, alleging that the teachers of J&K UT are placed in the pay grade of 2800 whereas teachers of other UTs are placed between grade pay of Rs 4200 to 5000. He further demanded regularization of ReTs who have completed 5 years service and waiting for the same for a long time.
The JKTJAC president also emphasized on appointment of ZEOs in headless zones, conversion of left out RReTs to Teachers Grade II/III as some cases are withheld due to adverse CID reports on minor changes, release of pay and other arrears of RReTs prior to September 2018 and DPC of teachers to masters and creation of posts of masters in upgraded middle schools so that salary issue of head teachers be resolved.
He also request the Director for issuance of Diploma/ Marksheet to teachers who passed BEd through (NIOS) online mode with less than 50% marks as the teachers with offline mode have received the same even having less than 50% marks.
The Director after giving a patient hearing to the deputation assured that regularization list of ReTs will be issued before February 15 and other issues will also be prioritized.
Others part of the deputation were Saleem Sagar, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Rajesh Jamwal, Sukesh Khajuria, Lekh Raj Parihar, Sajad Malik, Hari Lal Nag, Joginder Singh and Shabir Ahmed.
