JAMMU, May 16: Panun Kashmir (PK) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Prof ML Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee and deliberated upon the emerging political situation.
While speaking, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, Panun Kashmir said that in a State, where refugees from Pakistan and PoK are yet to be granted the complete citizenship rights even after 63 years of Independence, the conferment of special privilege and safe passage to a group of Pak-trained militants and their families is tantamount to rubbing salt in the wounds of nationalist population.
Prof ML Raina in his speech said that the ration cards issued to the displaced people are of no use because no ration is being provided on the same. He appealed to the authorities concerned to redress the plights of the displaced people.
He also expressed concern over 18-hour long power cuts in Jagti township in these hot weather conditions.
Virender Raina, spokesperson, PK also expressed his views.
