NEW DELHI, May 11: Soyabean oil prices strengthened by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by vanaspati millers to meet marriage season demand.
However, non-edible oils held steady in limited deals.
Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers to meet the marriage season demand mainly influenced prices of select edible oils.
In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,350 and Rs 6,950 per quintal respectively.
The following were today’s quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,100-1,250.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 10,500, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 2,100-2,150, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,450, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,260-1,340, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,345-1,445, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 13,000, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,350, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,950, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,350, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,100, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,300, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin)1,340-1,390.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 6,450, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 8,850-8,950, Neem 4,900-5,000, Rice Bran 3,100-3,200 and Palm Fatty 3,225-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175. (PTI)
