DODA, Dec 26: A man was killed while another was injured when the Wagon-R car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Kanota area of Baggar, here.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06A- 2032 was on its way to Doda from Jammu when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge near Kanota area of Baggar resulting into on the spot death of one person and injuries to another.
After getting information, a team from Police Station Assar rushed to the spot and with the help of locals started rescue operation.
The deceased person has been identified as Rajesh Kumar alias Raju, son of Gain Chand, a resident of Paryote while injured person has been identified as Sandesh Kumar, son of Gouri Lal, a resident of Paryote.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Assar Police Station and investigation started.
