Srinagar Dec 22: Srinagar-Leh highway after remaining closed for over a week due to heavy snowfall and icy surface at Zojila, the traffic movement was allowed from Srinagar towards Ladakh.
About 240 vehicles carrying the civilians and security personnel were allowed to move over the snow bound Zojila top at 11500 feet this afternoon.
Commander BRO, Mukesh Kumar, said that the vehicles carrying essential supplies to Ladakh crossed the Zojila top in the day. All the assistance is being extended by the Border Roads at the Zojila top by deputing men and machinery during any emergency to help out the crossing of vehicles.
