JYF for 24-hour functioning of Health Centre in JU

JAMMU, May 5: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) has demanded making functional the Health Centre and alleged that authorities of Jammu University were not paying any attention towards the said Centre which has become defunct due to non-availability of staff.
Addressing a press conference, JYF president Balveer Kumar said every year, University collects lakhs of rupees in the shape of fee from the students for health facility. But, the money was not being utilized properly. He said that Health Centre doesn’t have resident doctor, physician and male doctor in the Centre for the last one and a half year.
He disclosed that Health Centre has X-Ray machine but don’t have technician and further added that health center should be functional round the clock as the students in the hostel have to suffer a lot due to non availability of doctors.
Others present in the press conference were Pardeep Kumar, Amit Kumar, and Kapil Sharma.
