SRINAGAR, Nov 26: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has nominated its office bearers and its founder leader Mohd Afzal Bhat has been appointed as the president.
Announcement in this regard was made during a press conference, addressed by newly elected President EJAC & Chairman JKTF Mohd Rafique Rather, who was accompanied by Mohd Afzal Bhat, Mohd Ashraf Mir, Mohd Amin Khan, Peer Nissar Ahmad and others.
Shabir Ahmad Bhat was nominated as General Secretary, Showkat Ali Baig as Provincial President, Gh Nabi Sofi as State secretary, Gh Hassan Zarger as Provincial Gen Secretary and Javid Ahmad Khan as Provincial vice president.
Senior leader JKTF, Pir Nissar Ahmad announced Provincial and District bodies which include; Javid Ahmad Khan (Provincial VP) , Dr Bandroo (VP-2), Peerzada Altaf Ahmad (Secretary), Imtiyaz Ah Shah (Joint Secretary), Ab Rafi Bhat (Provincial Organisor), Nazir Ah Magray (Convenor), Irshad Ahmad (Deputy convenor), Irfan Nazir (Pub Sec), Pervaiz Ah (Coordinator), Mushtaq Ah (Deputy Coordinator), Mohd Ashraf and Ashiq Hussain (Deputy Press secretary).
Moreover, District Presidents were also nominated on the occasion and they include; Aijaz Ahmad Dar (District President Budgam), Gh Mohi uddin Mir (District President Srinagar), Hamidullah Tramboo (District President Pulwama ), Manzoor Ah Naikoo (District President Anantnag), Javid Ahmad (District President Kulgam), Gulzar Ahmad (District President Ganderbal), Syed Sajad (District President Bandipora. Ishfaq Ahmad Shah, Ab Qayoon & Gulzar Ahmad have already been nominated as District Presidents for Baramulla, Shopian & Kupwara, respectively.
While expressing his dissatisfaction over the performance of teachers Forum during last two years, the leader said that efforts will be made to address issues and concerns of teachers and there will be no compromise in the honour and dignity of teachers. They said that revamping of the organisation was the need of hour to restore its lost glory.
