JAMMU, May 2: A Mahayagya was performed at Shri Sharda Bhawani Mandir Pounichak near here on the eve of the Mahajayanti of Shri Reshipeer Ji Maharaj a great saint of Kashmir who is commonly known as Peer Pandit Padshah.
The hawan was held under the banner of Shri Reshipeer Socio-Cultural Trust Sopore Camp Jammu. A large number of devotees of the holy saint including religious preachers besides the members of Sopore Biradari participated in the Mahayagya.
The Hawan started yesterday evening and Puranahuti was performed this afternoon which was followed by serving of Prasad to devotees.
The scholars threw light on the preaching of this great saint who worked for fostering the bonds among different communities promotion of brotherhood and love. “The teachings of this great saint were that we should preach humanity and love”, they added.
Dr V K Kachro convener of the Managing Committee of the Trust threw light on its activities.
