JAMMU, Nov 21: A meeting of the jury constituted by Dogri Sanstha to select the best first book of Dogri by an author for conferring Prof. Ram Nath Shastri Memorial Award was held today at Dogri Sanstha Jammu.
A handout of Dogri Sanstha stated that the jury in the meeting unanimously decided to confer the award for the year 2020 on Raz Manawari, also known as Colonel Subhash Bali (rtd) for his book ‘Haamb’ containing Dogri ghazals.
The members of the Jury comprised Prof. Lalit Magotra, Er. Gyaneshwar Sharma, Prof. Veena Gupta, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Sushil Begana and Er. Ajit Khajuria (son of Prof. Ram Nath Shastri).
The award ceremony will be held on Sunday November 29, 2020.
The award carries a cash amount of Rs. 21,000, a shawl, a memento and a citation.
This yearly award is instituted by the family of late Prof. Ram Nath Shastri.
