Support extended to casual labourers

JAMMU, Oct 12: The Jammu and Kashmir All Departments Clerical Staff Association has extended support to the protest programme given by Casual Labourers and Daily Wagers Union Front.
Senior members of the Association Jeelani Naik (president), Nazir Ahmed, Gurmeet Singh and Ashish Sharma said that demands of the agitation casual labourers and other daily rated workers are genuine and the Lt Governor’s Administration must take initiative to addressing their long pending issues. They said many workers are engaged for the last over 15 to 20 years, they have given their half life to the department and Government must do justice with them. They have to support their families as well.
They appealed the Lt Governor M K Sinha to regularize their services under SRO 520 of 2017, release their all pending wages and also implement Minimum Wages Act in J&K.
