JAMMU, Sept 19: Acting tough against sand mining mafia, Kanachack Police seized 8 vehicles.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka near Sua Number 1 and seized 8 vehicles carrying illegal mining material.
The seized vehicles include 7 dumpers and 1 tipper. Later, DMO Geology and Mining Department imposed fine of Rs 70,400 on the defaulters.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar seized the vehicles under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
