JAMMU, Sept 14: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu has demanded the authorities concerned to hold Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting of all categories of Health employees without any delay.
The issue was discussed during a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan (president JKMEF). The speakers said that the Departmental Promotions of all categories of Health employees is supposed to be done twice in a year but it was not done even after the lapse of three years.
“So many times Federation projected the demand for DPC in front of the Director Health Services Jammu but nothing comes out to date and again Federation strongly demands holding of DPC on priority so that employees may not suffer more,” they added. They also demanded that up to date seniority list of all the categories of Health employees of Jammu Province be uploaded on the official website (portal) immediately.
It was also demanded in the meeting that the symptomatic COVID-19 positive front line workers of the Health department from Safaiwallas to Doctors should be shifted in suitable accommodation at separate special wards for treatment in Gandhi Nagar Hospital with full facilities.
Meanwhile, it was decided to defer the protest dharna by the Federation and its sister organization which was scheduled to held at DHS Complex on 15th September to press the administration for the consideration of long pending demands of the employees.
Those who attended the meeting were Ch Jarnail Singh (working president JKGPA), Kamaljit Sawhney (general secretary JKGPA), Parafulat Singh (general secretary JKMEF), R P Singh (publicity secretary) and many others.
