KATHUA, Sept 9: Police arrested five activists and district president of PDP for staging a protest against UT Government in front of DC Office Kathua demanding release party president and former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti from police detention during the visit of Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to Kathua to assess the development projects and to listen the grievances of the people.
The PDP activists led by its district president Jagbir Singh boycotted the LG’s visit and tied the black bands on their arms and raised protest against UT Government. They were demanding the release of PDP supremo, Mehbooba Mufti from detention.
Police stopped them and later arrested them. They were taken to Police Station Kathua.
