Free kits, immunity boosters, counselling

Jammu, Sept 7: In an endeavor to extend whole hearted support and ensure well being of the Police officers/officials who have been at the forefront of fight against COVID-19 day in and day out and have been tested positive, District Police Jammu under the leadership of SSP Sridhar Patil has started a promising mission where under a series of initiatives are being under taken to address the issues/problems encountered by officers/officials.
Patil said the interaction group with the title ‘Warriors of Jammu Police’ has been created through which senior officers connect with every COVID warrior and services of professional doctors and counsellors are being extended to all the officers/officials who are getting positive for COVID in due course of there duties focusing on the medication requirements , meditation, stress management, emotional empowerment to remain hopeful under challenging condition and propagating ideas of positive things among them.
“Each kit comprising of essential Ayurvedic medicines from AYUSH, immunity boosters, basic sanitising items essential in fight against COVID-19 such as masks, sanitizer, gloves, liquid soap, face shields etc and prescribed medicines required for treatment of infected Officers/Officials are being provided to these warriors at their door steps,” Patil said.
He added that the officers/officials who have joined there duties after recovery from the COVID-19 battle, sheer out of their strong will power and optimistic approach is being done regularly in DPL Jammu which will prove as moral boosting example for their colleagues fighting COVID-19.
Patil said online stress management programme has been started for the police personnel who are tested positive with the aim of eradicating stress among them enhancing there inner strength which can bring positive change in their out look and strengthen their minds and eventually the body.
“A data base of all the recovered officers/officials is being maintained on regular basis with SP Hqrs Jammu which can serve the noble purpose of plasma donation. The plasma donation of police personnel for those in dire need of plasma and battling COVID-19 will prove beyond doubt service of the nation which has been the hallmark of J&K Police,” Patil said.
