Bharat loses its ‘Ratna’ Pranab Da

Former President and India’s one of the most celebrated and respected politicians Pranab Mukherjee breathed his last after a brief illness. He was 84. A seven day mourning has been announced in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The National Flag shall fly at half- mast during the mourning period on all buildings and there would be no official entertainment. Pranab Mukherjee was cremated with full military honours on Tuesday after a large galaxy of political and social leaders including the President and the Prime Minister , paid their last respects and tributes to him at Rajaji Marg residence. A veteran politician, a scholar, an experienced administrator, a towering statesman who held efficiently different portfolios as Cabinet Minister, Pranab Mukherjee though wedded to Congress ideology and a record seven time Parliamentarian was never compromising on principles which he held dear to him while holding different types of responsibilities as a cabinet minister and finally occupying Rashtrapati Bhawan as the President of the Republic.
Pranab Mukherjee had to his credit various awards which included the most prestigious ”Bharat Ratna” conferred on him . The country has lost an illustrious son and a wise man of vast exposure and experience, the void of which is difficult to be filled.
