Teacher suspended for indulging in anti-administration activities

KISHTWAR, July 19: A teacher has been suspended for indulging in anti-administration activities.
As per official spokesman, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara took serious note of a video circulating in social media groups wherein one Government official serving as general line teacher at HS Dedpeth namely Rakesh Kumar Sen was using unparliamentarily language, criticizing Government administration and Government policies before some media persons.
Accordingly, DC placed erring teacher under suspension with immediate effect. Further, it was ordered that the said teacher will remain attached in the office of DC Kishtwar during suspension period, the spokesman added.
DC while terming the conduct of erring teacher as gross violation of provisions of J&K (Classification, Control and Appeal Rules) of 1956 read with J&K Government Employees (Conduct) Rules,1971 stated that a Government official is required to maintain neutrality and should not indulge in any activity which is unwarranted and also amounts to unbecoming of a Government servant.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar has been appointed as an enquiry officer in the matter who has been asked to conduct enquiry regarding the misconduct shown by erring teacher.
