DODA, Dec 30: Tehsil Legal Services Committee Doda today organised regular Lok Adalat at CJM’s Court Complex.
Three Lok Adalat benches comprising of Tahir Khurshid Raina, Additional District Judge Doda, Rajeev Gupta, Chief Judicial Magistrate Doda, Navin Jamwal, Additional Special Magistrate, Doda, Tabraiz Ahmed Qazi, District Mobile Magistrate Doda and Tabish Saleem, Assistant Labour Commissioner Doda took up various cases pertaining to compoundable criminal offences, petty offences, traffic violations, labour recoveries and maintenance cases.
98 cases in all were disposed of in Lok Adalat. An amount of Rs.6,16,500 was awarded as compensation in labour cases and Rs.16,850 was recovered as compounding fee in other cases.
TLSC Doda organises at least one Lok Adalat every month for the benefit of litigants for expeditious disposal of cases. Next Lok Adalat will be organised in last week of January 2015.
