JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Oct 14: Ninety three persons today tested positive for COVID-19—72 in Kashmir and 21 in Jammu–while the Union Territory of Ladakh reported five new cases today.
Among 21 fresh cases, Doda district reported 10, Jammu six and Reasi five while seven other districts of the Jammu region didn’t report any COVID positives.
Twenty eight persons recovered from the virus leaving 211 active positive cases in the region.
All five COVID positive cases in Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
The UT of Ladakh now has been left with only 42 active positive cases—39 in Leh and three in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 72 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 47 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 4 from Budgam, 5 from Kupwara, from Anantnag and 2 from Bandipora.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 206,688 including 203,712 recoveries and 2,252 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 946 including 724 from Kashmir division.
With 104 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 325,473 which is 98.37 percent of the total cases.
