JAMMU, May 23: Ramgarh, Jhajjar Kotli and Gajansoo Police seized 9 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Ramgarh during patrolling duty seized five vehicles including one dumper and 4 tractor trolleys, which were being used for illegal transportation and mining of the construction material.
All the 5 vehicles were handed over to Geology and Mining Department Samba for further action.
Meanwhile, teams from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and Border Police Post Gajansoo on specific inputs raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized four different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
The mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&K.
In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law, Samba and Jammu Police have initiated strict action.
