KATHUA, Aug 30: Nine school children among 11 people were injured in a road accident at village Kah in tehsil Billawar in Kathua district today. The accident took place after the auto in which nine children and two other passengers were travelling fell into a gorge in the village after the driver lost the control on vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge.
Fortunately, the passengers including school children fell down on the road side when vehicle turned turtle and fell into deep gorge. The eleven injured including nine children were shifted to PHC Ramkot by local people for treatment.
Out of which four children were shifted to GMC Kathua for better treatment.
The injured were identified as Dheeraj Singh, 16, son of-Ravi Singh of Kasher Ramkot Renu Devi, 16,daughter of-Rampaul, also of Kasher Ramkot, Vanshika Devi,16, daughter of Hardev Singh, of Kah Ramkot, Sandeep Kumar, son of Babu Ram of Nagrota Ramkot, Meena Devi, daughter of Mohan Lal of Kasher, Ramkot Kajal Verma ,daughter of Vijay Kumar of Kah Ramkot, Taniya Devi, daughter of Rattan Singh of Babey Majalta Divansh Thakur,son of Baldev Singh of Kah Ashok Kumar, son of Karan Singh of Babey Majalta Indru Chand ,son of Nath Ram of Kah Ramkot Munish Thakur, son of Hardev Singh,of Kah, Ramkot .
The parents of children accused the driver for negligent driving and worse condition of road which caused accident.
The Ramkot police has registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
