9 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Nine persons were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said seven passengers were injured in a collision between a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09/4636 and an Oil Tanker bearing registration number JK05/2825 at Chogal, Handwara. All the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
In another collision between a Santro car bearing registration number JK18/0884 and a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK08A/3755 at Uranhall, Anantnag, the Santro driver Subzar Ahmad Itoo son of Ghulam Ahmad of Tarigam Kulgam was injured. He has been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Bijbehara for treatment
The spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK04/8486 hit and injured a pedestrian Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Khaliq of Sopore at National Highway near Narbal Crossing in Srinagar. He has been shifted to SKIMS for treatment.
Police has registered cases in these accidents, the spokesman added.
