DODA, July 29: Nine persons were injured when Alto car collided head on with a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) near Pranoo on Bhaderwah-Doda highway, this afternoon.
As per reports, an Alto car bearing registration number PB37P-5784 was on its way to Doda from Bhaderwah collided with a Sports Utility Vehicle Mahindra XUV bearing registration number JK06A-0011 coming from opposite direction at Pranoo, 20 kilometers from Bhaderwah on Doda-Bhadarwah highway.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Doda, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured persons have been identified as Fareed Ahmed (50), son of Ghulam Ahmed his wife Nazia Naz (46), sons Momin (16), Mutyan and daughter Maria (9), all residents of District Doda, Mohammad Hanif, son of Abdul Razaq, his brothers Bashir Ahmed and Abdul Latief and Hafiza Begun (45), wife of Mohammad Hanif, all residents of District Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
