9 drug peddlers arrested with banned syrup bottles, capsules, heroin

JAMMU, Dec 10: Police arrested nine drug peddlers and recovered large quantity of banned syrup bottles, capsules and heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, the sleuths of Special Operation Group (SOG) Jammu and cops from Channi Himmat Police Station led by SHO Inspector Parvez Sajjad under the supervision of SP South Vinay Sharma laid a naka near Stadium Morh and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK03B-9015, which was on its way to Srinagar from Punjab.
During checking, police team recovered 2500 banned syrup bottles from the special cavity of the truck and arrested two persons.
The arrested persons were identified as Sajad Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Ahmed and Marfat Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad, both residents of Dongripura District Pulwama, Kashmir.
A case under FIR Number 191/19 under section 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
The whole operation was supervised by SSP SOG Jammu Sandeep Mehta and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
Meanwhile, a team from Nagrota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shokat under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a Honda Civic car bearing registration number DL3CAJ-0444.
During checking, police team recovered 11 grams heroin from the possession of three persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Jamuna Giri, son of Seva Giri, Sham Lal, son of Krishan Lal and Mohammad Ashraf, son of Bhagu, all residents of Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
In another similar case, a team from Sidhra Police Post led by SI Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma laid a naka and intercepted three vehicles including one Skoda car (JK02AH-2222), one scooty (JK02BL-6713) and a motorcycle (JK02V-7844).
During checking, police team recovered 900 intoxicant capsules and 25 banned syrup bottles from the possession of four persons and arrested them.
The accused has been identified as Udham Singh alias Ricky, son of Kartar Singh of Lower Ragoora, Sameer Mirza, son of Anwar-ul-Haq Mirza of Satellite Colony Bathindi, Vishal Sharma, son of Parshotam Lal of Shanti Nagar and Munish Sharma, son of Kavinder Khanna of Rehari Colony.
Cases under FIR Numbers 457/19 and 459/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
