9 bovines rescued

RAJOURI, June 23: The police foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued nine cattle being smuggled, to avoid Police naka in Taryath area of Kalakote.
Official sources said that a team of police headed by Incharge Police Post, Taryath SI, Habib Pathan under the supervision of SHO Dharamsal, Amit Singh during routine patrolling, intercepted a smuggler while taking away nine bovines on- foot from Motla Gala side to avoid police naka.
Smuggler identified as Mohammad Qadeer, son of Mohammad Bashir, resident of Sarrah Kandi was arrested and nine bovines were rescued. A case under relevant sections has been registered in Dharamsal Police Station in this connection.
