9 arrested for SOPs violation

JAMMU, Apr 28: Gandhi Nagar and Pacca Danga Police arrested nine persons for violating SOPs issued in wake of rising cases of COVID-19 pandemic.
As per police sources, on receiving information regarding COVID-19 SOPs violation, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Bharat Sharma conducted raid and apprehended four persons from Cream Hotel Fast Food Gandhi Nagar.
The arrested persons were identified as Vikram Kanwar, son of late Narinder Kanwar of Janipur, Deepak, son of Kuldeep Raj of Gharata Mehra Mandrian, Niaz, son of Kaleen Mohi-ul-Din of Rampura Nai Basti and Shashi Pal, son of Manga Ram of Gharata Mehra Mandrian.
Meanwhile, similar police team also arrested one person from Asian Venue Fast Food Green Belt Park Gandhi Nagar for violating COVID-19 SOPs.
The arrested person was identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Harnam Singh, a resident of Shiva Ji Chowk Nanak Nagar Jammu.
Cases under FIR Numbers 116/2021 and 117/2021 under Sections 188, 269 and 270 IPC have been registered against the arrested persons and investigation initiated.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Pacca Danga arrested three persons for violating guidelines by operating their meat shops at CPO near Panjtirthi.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Jnab, son of Mohammad Zinda of Janipur, Mohammad Sadiq, son of Mohammad Hussain and Parvaiz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasoool, both residents of Nagrota Bye Pass and Irfan, son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Ustad Mohallah.
Cases under FIR Number 65/2021, 66/2021 and 67/2021 under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
