84 new cases in J&K, 3 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Oct 19: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 84 fresh COVID positive cases while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded three new positives.
Seventy two cases were registered in Kashmir and 12 in Jammu.
Among 12 cases in the Jammu region, seven were reported from Jammu district, three Doda and one each in Rajouri and Poonch districts. Rest of the districts didn’t report fresh positive cases.
Seventeen persons today recovered from the virus leaving 125 active positive cases in the region.
All three fresh cases in Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 34 active positive cases including 33 in Leh and one in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir reported 72 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 45 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 8 from Budgam, 1 from Kupwara, 5 from Anantnag and 1 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 207,018 including 204,087 recoveries and 2,253 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 803 including 678 from Kashmir division.
With 97 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 325,990 which is 98.42 percent of the total cases.
