82 aspiring entrepreneurs pass out from JKEDI

Pampore, Apr 3: A fresh batch of 82 aspiring entrepreneurs, including 11 females, passed out from Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today.
A spokesperson of EDI said these candidates were trained in a three-week programme on skill development, performance improvement as well as business-cum-sector specific trainings, leadership and self-development.
The candidates have registered for the Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) – a key component of the state government’s Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWPY), and Youth Start-Up Loan Scheme (YSLS) being implemented by JKEDI.
The trained aspiring entrepreneurs are targeting business including manufacturing (22), services (45), food processing (04), and agri-allied sectors (11).
The institute offers a platform to entrepreneurs to enable them to set up their ventures through a host of services like consultancy, information, training, education and finance.
