80 Corona cases in J&K, one in Leh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Oct 12: Eighty persons today tested positive for COVID-19 including 67 in Kashmir and 13 in Jammu while just one fresh case was reported in Ladakh.
Among 13 cases in the Jammu region, seven were registered in Reasi district and all of them were travellers who tested positive for the virus on their arrival at Katra Railway Station.
Two fresh cases each were recorded in Jammu and Poonch districts and one each in Doda and Kathua districts.
Rest of the districts didn’t report any new cases today.
Forty seven persons recovered from the virus leaving behind 247 active positive cases in the Jammu region.
One COVID positive case in the Union Territory of Ladakh was reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 46 active positive cases including 43 in Leh district and three in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 67 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 37 from Srinagar, 6 from Baramulla, 6 from Budgam, 1 from Pulwama, 4 from Kupwara, 8 from Anantnag and 5 from Ganderbal.
The number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached 206,556 including 203,558 recoveries and 2,252 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 993 including 746 from Kashmir division.
With 126 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 325,247 which is 98.36 percent of the total cases.
