POONCH, Apr 21: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) during a special enforcement drive against traffic rules violations, seized eight vehicles and challaned many others in Poonch district today.
Reports said the team of MVD officials, under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer Poonch, seized five Echo vehicles for the violation of permits and three mini-buses for overloading, while number of vehicles were challaned for violating traffic rules.
ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood said that number of complaints were received that private echo vehicles are being used for commercial purposes. During drive, eight vehicles were seized, and many challaned.
