Bal Padri
Lies amidst snow-capped mountains and enchanting coniferous forests, one such attractive name is Bal Padri. It is a treasure in Bhalessa. This captivating hill station, located in the Changa block, has remained unexplored, yet it offers immense beauty and allure to nature lovers, trekkers, and mountaineers.
Bal Padri is perched at an elevation of 11,000 feet (3,400 meters) above sea level. The landscape is a symphony of meandering streams, lush meadows, and dense forests. It’s a paradise for nature enthusiasts and trekkers, making it a captivating location for outdoor adventures.
The nearby location known as Padri Pass. It is located to the northeast of Padri Pass, which is the highest point on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road. Apart from the above unidentified tourism sites in Bhalessa (Tehsils of Gandoh Bhalessa, Kahara, Chilly Pingal and Kahara) there are several.other places like Mashood, Chowandi and chilly meadows which need to be identified.
The implementation of strategic schemes i.e Integrated development of tourist facilities Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD), Construction of Tourist Facilitation Centre, and inner approach roads to these unidentified places is crucial for positioning Bhalessa as a well-rounded tourist destination. By fostering sustainable practices, promoting cultural richness, and involving local communities, these schemes aim to create a harmonious blend of tourism and local identity.
