SRINAGAR, Apr 20: Eight residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Sopore on Saturday evening.
A police spokesman said fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Qayoom Sheikh son of Mohammad Subhan of Shahabad, Sopore. The fire engulfed the four adjacent residential houses which were completely damaged.
He said four others were also partially damaged.
“The cause of the fire is believed to be due to electric short circuit. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he said.
