DODA, July 5: Eight persons were injured in tempo traveler and tipper collision near Udyanpur area, falling under the jurisdiction of Doda police station.
As per police sources, a tempo traveler bearing registration number JK06-4728 was on its way from Doda to Kalihand when it collided with a tipper near Udyanpur, resulting into injuries to eight persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Nadeen Ahmed (driver of tempo), son of Rafiq Ahmed of Kalihand, Shariqa Begum, wife of Mangta Butt of Bandas, Fata Begum, wife of Abdul Rehman of Udyanpur, Irfan Naik, son of Abdul Jabbar of Kulhand, Masood Naik, son of Manga Niak of Kalihand, Irfan Ahmed, son of Mangta Butt of Bandas, Mubasher Hussain, son of Abdul Rehman of Udyanpur and Zohra Begum, wife of Ghulam Mohi-u-Din of Kalihand.
A case has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
