UDHAMPUR, Aug 6: Eight persons were injured in different road accidents, here today.
According to the reports, a Maruti van JK06.1063, on its way from Sudhmahadev to Udhampur skidded off the road and met with accident near Motor Shed NHW, Prem Bar. Two persons in the van were injured and shifted to CHC Chenani for treatment. The injured were identified as Gita Devi (61), wife of Govind Ram of Bap Chenani and Brij Lal (40), son of Shiv Ram of Jig Chenani.
In another road accident, a Damper bearing registration number JK0BA-5518 rolled down near Toldi Nallah while going on its way from Dewal Bridge towards Kheri.
Locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured driver and three others to Udhampur District Hospital. The injured were identified as driver Surinder Kumar, Allu Din, son of Kismat, Mohd Aslam son of Allu Din and Mohd Mukhtyar son of Mohd Qasim, all resident of Bihar.
A motorcyclist was injured when his bike was hit by a minibus near Kawa Udhampur. The injured, identified as Vir Kumar, son of Kaka Ram of Kawa, was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and he has sustained serious wounds.
Meanwhile an elderly female pedestrian was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Malad Morh Udhampur. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and her identity was established as Ranu Devi Sharma (75), wife of Nand Lal of Malhar.
