SRINAGAR, Jan 3: Eight persons were injured in different road accidents in the Valley today.
A police spokesman said five passengers were injured when a Tata Sumo, JK0IU-0266, driven by Abdul Rashid Malik son of Ghulam Mohammad of Pariswani, turned turtle near exchange Gokhama.
A married couple identified as Mohammad Shafi Sofi and his wife Parveena of Palpora, Budgam were injured when a bus JK05B-3769, on way from Budgam to Srinagar, skidded off the road near a petrol pump in Sheikhpora in the district, the spokesman said.
A girl, Hafeeza Bano daughter of Mohammad Ismail Lohar of Dardpora Lolab, was injured when a van hit her at Dilbagh Dever, Lalpora in district Kupwara, the spokesman said.
He said the injured were hospitalized and cases have been registered.
