MENDHAR, May 13: Eight persons were injured in a bloody clash over a land dispute at village Darana in tehsil Mendhar today.
A police spokesman said that there was an old land dispute between Parvez Ahmed and Jamal Din and both families had quarrelled many times in the past over this issue. Today again, members of both the families had tiff followed by a blood clash. Both the sides used sharp edged weapons and lathis and at least eight persons including Parvez and Jamal Din were injured in the clash.
The eye witnesses said that they also hurled stones on each other. The injured were later shifted to Mendhar Hospital. The police registered a case and started investigation.
