RAJOURI, Aug 4: Eight persons were injured, three of them seriously when a Tata Sumo skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Thannamandi area today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the vehicle No. JK11A/ 3819 was on way to Dhok from Thannamandi. On this kucha road, the vehicle slipped and rolled down into the gorge near village Naili. All the injured were rushed to Thannamandi hospital by the locals.
They were identified as Mohd Aslam (60), son of Nassir Khan from Khanyal Kote; Shairon Khan (6), son of Mohd Arif from Khanyal Kote; Said Mohd (65), son of Dost Mohd; Mohd Rashid (36), son of Ali Akbar; Asima Ali (7), daughter of Shahid Maqbool: Mohd Sadiq (70), son of Farman Ali; Safina Kouser (26), wife of Shahid Maqbool and Maqsooda Begum (65), wife of Maqbool, all residents of Naili.
Three seriously injured, namely Mohd Sadiq, Maqsooda Begum and Sheron Khan have been referred to DH Rajouri.
