8 gamblers held in Baramulla

Srinagar, Mar 14: Police today apprehended eight gamblers and recovered stake money over Rs. 25,000 from the gambling site in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said a police party raided a gambling place in Bus Stand Baramulla and during the raid eight gamblers were held and stake money worth Rs. 25270 was recovered from the site.
He said the gamblers were identified as Rayees Ahmad Shah, Danish Ahmad Parray, Shahid Ahmad Mir, Abdul Qayoom Dar, Abdul Hamid Yatoo, Sabzar Ahmad Yatoo, Ishfaq Ahmad Marrdoos and Bilal Ahmad Wani.
“Police has registered a case under FIR number 57/2016 under section 13 gambling Act in this regard,” he added.
