7th Pay Commission in State

I
Sir,
A few days back  Central Govt announced release of 7th Pay Commission for Central Govt employees. A long time demand  was fulfilled by the Central Government for the welfare of its employees.
It becomes obligatory upon the States to follow the suit. The past practice reveals that by and large all the States in the country follow the Centre whenever there is any hike in the salary of it employees. It has remained all along the cherished demand of State Govt employees and pensioners that implementation of 7th Pay Commission in the State should take place as early as possible. The State employees and pensioners are hard hit by the soaring prices of the essentials. They cannot afford to wait for long in these hard times. Recently, State Govt doubled the salary of legislators in one go and when the employees demand their due financial implications stand in the way. Govt employees are working to their best for the development of the State. The recently statement of our Chief Minister has disappointed employees of the State.
The State employees and pensioners have pinned high hopes on the present Government. The present dispensation  needs to look into the matter sympathetically and release 7th Pay Commission in favour of the employees and pensioners to resolve long demand in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
Yours etc….

Sir,
The decision of Union Cabinet to accept the modified 7th Pay Commission recommendations for implementation is historically one. Now, the 7th Pay Commission has been accepted and will be implemented in respect of Central Government employees, and pensioners. The Prime Minister should convene a meeting of all the Chief Ministers for implementing these recommendations in their respective States. Chief Minister  Mehbooba Mufti should approach Prime Minister and seek financial aid for implementation of 7th Pay Commission for State Government employees and pensioners. The Chief Minister is also requested to increase the monthly medical allowance in respect of low paid State Government pensioners.
