7th class student kidnapped, recovered

JAMMU, Aug 25: A seventh class student was kidnapped by a youth from outside a coaching centre at Bakshi Nagar last evening and held hostage in a house at Pacca Danga. Police recovered the girl this evening and arrested the kidnapper.
Reports said family members of the minor girl hailing from Bakshi Nagar lodged a missing complaint with Bakshi Nagar police station last evening after the girl didn’t return to the house from coaching centre.
After registering a case, police started investigations and on information from reliable inputs, recovered the minor girl, where she had been held hostage by the boy from Pacca Danga.
During questioning, the girl revealed that she had been kidnapped by Avinash Kapoor alias Lucky (18), son of Romesh Chander, also a resident of Bakshi Nagar.
The girl has been restored to the family after completion of legal formalities including medical examination, reports said.
A case under FIR number 119/13 under Section 363 RPC has been registered at Bakshi Nagar police station against the accused.
A Bakshi Nagar police station team headed by SHO Inspector Dalip Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Shabir Khan.
