76-year-old injured due to gun-shot

JAMMU, Nov 24: A 76-year-old man was injured in Greater Kailash area when his licensed gun went off accidentally.
“Santokh Singh (76) son of Banta Singh, resident of 91/4 Greater Kailash, was injured this evening at his residence when while cleaning, his 12-bore single barrel gun went off accidentally and the bullet hit him in the abdomen,” a police official said.
He said that the injured man was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable. “The concerned police hav taken cognizance of the matter”, he added.
